We Won’t Join Issues with Obasanjo, Clark on their Choice Presidential Candidate- PDP Campaign Council

The spokesperson of Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Council of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Charles Aniagwu has said the campaign Council will not castigate former president Olusegun Obasanjo nor Chief Edwin Clark for endorsing Labor Party Presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi.
Aniagwu disclosed this at a press briefing, held at Asaba, yesterday, saying that the Atiku/Okowa ticket has received a lot of endorsement from many Nigerians “that is why we are not disturbed about any endorsement coming from anywhere”.
Explaining that the Council do not begrudge either Labour Party candidate nor former president Obasanjo, he said “Our presidential candidate is very much aware from the onset that we are going into a contest with other contestants, which makes it a competitive election. the only thing that gives us hope is that we got competitive edge to be able to win because we rank top in the ballot boxes”.
“We have received a whole lot of endorsement by majority of Nigerians who indeed the ultimate power to endorse resides in , because by the end of the day,the greatest endorsement any candidate can get is going to be winning the election”.
The spokesperson who is also the Commissioner of Information, Delta State, noted that what the duo of Obasanjo and Clark have done is to exercise freedom of expression obtainable in a democracy as guaranteed by the constitution.
He added that the PDP is determined to form a government of national unity after the election, observing that they are willing to bring other supporters onboard, especially the G5 governors, so they can make meaningful inputs and be part of our government of economic recovery journey of Nigeria
Meanwhile, the Governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), in Delta, Sen. Ovie Omo Agege, has been told to tell Deltans what he intends to do for them rather than trying to run the Okowa led administration down.
The Commissioner of Information also asked Omo- Agege to concentrate on attracting federal roads construction projects to the State , since he is the deputy President of the Senate.
