Delta Orders Closure of Primary, Secondary Schools for March 18 Elections

Owing to the upcoming governorship and House of Assembly elections , Primary and Secondary Schools in Delta State have been mandated to go on break between Friday 17th to Tuesday 21st March, 2023.

A letter signed by Mrs. Oderhohwo Kehinde, Director (Schools), Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education and dated March 15, 2023, tasked Chief Inspectors of Education in the state to disseminate the information to all Principals/ Head Teachers in their respective Local Government Area.

The circular titled “GOVERNORSHIP AND STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMIBLY ELECTIONS” reads “ I am directed to refer to the above subject and to inform you that the forthcoming Governorship and State House of Assembly elections slated for Saturday 18th March, 2023 with collation of results to follow. Subsequently, all Primary and Secondary Schools in the State are to proceed on a break from Friday 17th to Tuesday March, 2023.
