INEC Press Corps Inaugurated in Delta

The Independent National Electoral Commission Press Corps (IPC) has been inaugurated in Delta State.
The State INEC Resident Commissioner Monday Udoh-Tom, inaugurated the commission’s Press Corps at Asaba, today.
Udoh-Tom said that the establishment of the group is aimed at initiating a new level of cooperation between the media and INEC which will ultimately benefit the electoral process in the state.
He promised the media access to information in an open and timely manner while upholding the Commission’s rules and regulations on communication.
Also, he disclosed that over 300,000 Permanent Voters cards are yet to be collected in the Commission’s 25 LGA offices adding that the commission is expecting more PVCs by the end of November.
The Resident Commissioner however urged registrants to visit INEC offices across the State for the collection of their PVCs.
