NUJ Delta Felicitates with Oborevwori on Supreme Court Victory

The leadership of the NUJ Delta State Council has congratulated the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff Oborevwori on his unimpeachable victory at the supreme court.

The congratulatory message was contained in a statement signed by the State Council Chairman, Comrade Churchill Oyowe and Secretary, Comrade Victor Sorokwu.

Parts of the release reads “NUJ Delta Council appreciates the resilience and doggedness of the governor in pursuit of his predetermined ambition to deliver MORE to Deltans.

“It is heartwarming to note that the apprehensive sociopolitical atmosphere occasioned by the post election litigations is now relaxed and the seemingly lull in governance and government business would fizzle out.

“We look forward to a more robust and rewarding engagement between the government and the people in line with the MORE agenda of the Sheriff Oborevwori administration.

“In the spirit of sportsmanship, we urge the amiable governor to extend sincere olive branch to the opposition and ensure that all genuine efforts geared towards enhanced statecraft are brought to bear on all facets of development for the common good.

“Going forward, the NUJ Delta reiterates its commitment to engage and partner the Oborevwori administration to make Delta the pride among states of the federation.
